DAY 1 >> Hahndorf (Adelaide Hills), 28km
Sink your teeth into the Adelaide Hills, a world favourite for artisan food and wine region. Ride the Crafers Bikeway to Mt Lofty Summit and then take the quiet back roads all the way the lively and historic Hahndorf.
DAY 2 >> Tanunda (Barossa Valley), 42km
Travel through the heart of the Adelaide Hills along smooth rail trail from Hahndorf, through Woodside to Tanunda. See, taste and touch all the wonderful sights along the journey and get lost in the sumptuous nature of the hills.
DAY 3 >> Barossa Valley, choose your own adventure!
Situated perfectly to take advantage of the world-famous Barossa Valley, take a day to yourself to explore the famous destination wineries on offer. Take some suggestions from your local guide or set off on your own adventure - you can't go wrong when you're completely immersed in wine country like this! Maybe: Yalumba Estate, Jacob's Creek, Seppeltsfield, Langmeil Winery, Kellemeister Wines, Chateau Yaldara or Rockford Winery?
DAY 4 >> Historic Gawler, 25km
Take it nice and easy along the trail between Tanunda and the historic township of Gawler, to the north of Adelaide. Stopping at all the iconic wineries along the way, hang up your helmet with lunch at the riverside Chateau Yaldara, before the next leg of our amazing journey.
DAY 5 >> Kangaroo Island (no cycling)
Take to the sea on day 5 of our trip as we head over to the magnificent Kangaroo Island. Nestled amongst the bush, our accommodation gets us up close and person with the wilderness of the island and prepares us for a day of exploration!
DAY 6 >> Kangaroo Island (no cycling)
Full of wildlife and scenery, we take visit the islands most notable landmarks, including Flinders Chase National Park, Admirals Arch, the lighthouse and Remarkable Rocks. If we haven't seen enough of the emus, echidnas, koalas and kangaroos, our wilderness night walk will certainly capture our imaginations!
DAY 7 >> Kangaroo Island (no cycling)
After a hearty breakfast, we get to say a final farewell to some very special koala visitors at Hanson Bay Bay Wildlife Park and then catch our ferry back to Adelaide.
